Porto, discovering the Douro Valley
Spend a weekend enjoying Porto under a blue sky.
The city of Porto built on hills is charming with its historic district, its facades adorned with azulejos and its art deco and baroque buildings.
We spent a day discovering the cellars.
For this, as in the last century, you have to cross the famous bridge Dom Louis I built by Eiffel and head to Vila Nova de Gaia, on the slopes of the banks of the Douro.
All the cellars of the principal English merchants organize visits and make taste the art of their assemblages for their tawny ages in old casks.
And to finish our day we took the boat on the river, until the Quinta Do Tedo which provides us with our PORTO SPECIAL RESERVE.
On the nose with cherry and currants. Distinguished, with flavors of red fruits and figs. Crisp and suave in the final. The ideal balance.
