The field of Hortus, owned by the family Orliac is installed in the valley between the Pic Saint Loup and Hortus near Valflaunès.
Syrah and Mourvedre dominate Grenache aged in barrels for aging allows for great wines.
The winery and cellar wood are built in a beautiful setting amidst the pines.

The wines produced are references to the name Pic Saint Loup.
Jean Orliac constantly looking concentrated fruit and purity.

Great Vintages are the standard and deserve a few years of patience to develop their delicacies.
La Bergerie de L'Hortus techniques are wines produced in three colors, frank, soft and silky, easier.

A special mention for the white wine very neat.

     Grapes:
Chardonnay, Viognier, Roussanne.

       Soil:
brown soil formed on bedrock limestone-marl for Chardonnay or scree Cretaceous limestone fragments downslope for Viognier.

      Winemaking:
Fermentation in new and old barrels for Chardonnay and Viognier for the tank

       Ageing:
On the lees with weekly lees stirring for 8 months.

      Tasting:
A beautiful golden color.
Aromas of honey and dried fruit.
The palate is fresh with a nice balance.

Elegant white wine.

Crayfish salad.
