Crafted in the oldest distillery in the United States (County of Woodford, Kentucky) dating from 1812.
And the oldest distillery in the United States continues to innovate and surprise us: this Bourbon is aged in a unique way thanks to a double maturation which fully masters the alliances of barrel and wood and their influence on whiskey.
Indeed, the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked has rested in heavily burned white oak barrels, it then undergoes a second passage in new oak barrels twice toasted and then very lightly toasted, so as to bring out more the natural juices of the wine. wood.
This additional maturation gives this new expression more character and roundness. Its unique flavor, twice as intense, also lies in the blend of the best cereals as well as in the quality of the white oak barrels used.
This Kentucky bourbon has acquired an unusual character and roundness. On the nose, it is a festival of flavors: vanilla, black fruits, caramel, honey, chocolate, and toasted notes of oak. On the palate, honey gives a greedy color with full-bodied notes of vanilla and caramel. The finish is deep on apple and honey.
