The Clos Roca estate of Louis Aleman, in Nizas (34) near Pézenas, is a wine estate producing PDO Languedoc-Pézenas and Languedoc wines as well as IGP Hérault. The estate has been certified “Organic Agriculture” since 2007. Manual harvests and traditional winemaking methods allow Clos Roca to produce quality wines where elegance, suppleness and substance are the key words.

Grape varieties:

70% alicante bouschet, 20% mourvèdre, 10% syrah.

Tasting Notes:

The color is intense, dark garnet. The nose is of a beautiful aromatic power, dominated by notes of small black fruits (blackberries, blackcurrant). After aeration, the palate is marked by notes of black olives and very ripe red fruits. Great freshness and frankness in this southern wine.

Wine style:

Elegant and fruity red wine.

Food and wine :

Stir-fried noodles and pan-fried beef strips in Thai sauce. Pork of all kinds of course!
