Bergerie de L'Hortus

Blanc 2022

Saint Guilhem le Désert IGP

France - Languedoc

The Domaine de l'Hortus, owned by the Orliac family, is located under the combe between the Pic Saint Loup and L'Hortus near Valflaunès.
Syrah and Mourvèdre dominate over Grenache, and barrel ageing allows for long ageing for the great vintages.
The wooden cellar and winery are built in a splendid setting, surrounded by pine trees.

The wines produced are references in the Pic Saint Loup appellation.
Jean Orliac is always looking for concentrated fruit and purity.

The Grandes Cuvées are the flagship wines and deserve a few years of patience to develop their delicacy.
The Bergerie de L'Hortus are technical wines produced in three colours, frank, supple and silky, easier.  A special mention for the white wine, which is very well made.
