Pinot Noir Domaine des Gandines
Damanchet à Clessé
The field of Gandines was created by Joseph DANANCHET in 1925. The first parcel planted was the one on the exceptional climate "The Gandines".
The field is then formed as a hectare and a half in Clessé. Over the decades, four generations have succeeded. In 1979, Robert DANANCHET resumes the vineyard from his father Marc DANANCHET.
Robert continues the work of the vine while respecting the tradition and terroir using no herbicides or chemical fertilizers, and increased the vineyard area to eight hectares. Since the arrival of Benjamin DANANCHET in 2005, the vineyard is led in organic farming and spans just over ten hectares.
In 2009, the vineyard was certified organic. Today Benjamin and Robert worked together with the same passion and a simple philosophy, that produce great wines Chardonnay while respecting the terroir, the living environment and health.
The vines, grown in organic farming, have never received chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Thus soils have an organic and microbial life that provides the plant everything it needs to produce perfectly healthy, ripe grapes, essential to the development of the great wines of terroir.
