Domaine Rémi Jalliet
Fleurettes aux Vents 2020
Vin de France
On his 6.5 hectare estate, Rémi Jalliet brings together ten or so plots of vines aged between 35 and 80 years old, scattered on clay-limestone slopes, amidst the garrigue and rocks around the village of Villesèque-des-Corbières. The diversity of the soils and subsoil, the exposures, the very rich environments and preserved by the artisanal culture in agrobiology participate in the intensity and the complexity of its wines.
Grape varieties :
Carignan and Grenache noir.
The ruby colour is very clear. The nose reveals very pleasant and intense aromas of red fruits, garrigue and Mediterranean spices. On the palate, the supple and appealing texture offers a lot of sapidity. The ripe tannins give way to a fresh and fruity persistence. The aromatic intensity and the greediness of the flesh make it an ideal buddy wine, easy and spontaneous.
Wine style :
Supple and fruity red wine.
Food and wine pairing :
Lamb tajine with preserved lemon. Duck fillet, orange peel coulis and creamy risotto.
Cellar ageing potential :
75 cl - 12 % volume
