When your name is Gosset and you've spent thirty years working in the family vineyards, in the field, with wine merchants and restaurateurs, it's only natural that you should want to create your own champagne. So, at the age of fifty, Christian Gosset decided to change his life and write a new page in the Gosset saga by creating a new champagne house in his own name.
At the head of a 5-hectare vineyard, Christian Gosset has created a range of six exclusively grand cru champagnes, most of which are made from plot-based vintages and vinified in oak barrels. They are, of course, in the tradition of the great pinot noir terroirs of Aÿ, the cradle of the Gosset family for five centuries.

100% chardonnay (lieu-dit Sorangeon, terroir grand cru de Chouilly).

Tasting notes :

Colour: luminous light yellow with green highlights.
Nose: complex, floral, sunny and exotic, with hints of wood and vanilla, followed by notes of root and tobacco.
Palate: broad, vigorous attack. Beautiful, well-structured body with a persistent liveliness. The tannic structure of 2018 is quickly revealed and the whole is very straightforward. The finish is very long, with chewiness and a chalky, saline feel.

Wine style :

A lively, deep sparkling white wine.

Food and wine pairing :

Pike, Champagne mousse and green lentil risotto with guanciale. Veal rice lacquered with orange and ginger, pear concassé with Parma ham.
