This wine is made from old vines of more than 100 years for the white listan and the pedro ximenez and 15 years for the vidueño.
Its name comes from the system of trellising in braided cords (cordon trenzado) several metres long, on the volcanic slopes of the Orotava Valley (North of the island of Tenerife), between 350 and 700 metres in altitude.

40% of the fermentation is done in concrete tanks and 60% in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 10 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (500 litres). No filtration during bottling.

        

Grape varieties:

90% palomino fino (white listan) and 6% pedro ximenez and 4% vidueño

Tasting notes:

Aromas of white fruit, with citrus notes and a saline touch. The palate is vibrant, rich and seductive. A wine with good acidity, fresh and with a smoky finish.
Great complexity from a beautiful volcanic terroir.

Dry and complex white wine.

Food and wine pairing:

Coral lentil dahl with grilled octopus and fresh coriander. Green asparagus glazed with mandarin orange, Iberian ham and pistachio slivers.
