Gloria de Nusserhoff the Lagrein grape variety
Gloria de Nusserhoff
Adventure on other horizons the Lagrein grape variety
In recent years the supply of foreign wines on the French market has grown considerably.
During a selection tasting with importers, I was intrigued by an original label, in a very strong style, of a wine that seemed to come from Italy or Austria, Gloria de Nusserhoff.
The wine reveals aromas of black fruits, prunes, slightly evolved notes, balsamic and smoked.
On the palate, candied fruit, cinnamon and spice. The tannins are velvety with a certain density. It leaves an impression of harmony, race and elegance, the finish is smoky and fruity.
Top wine, it's delicious and successful.
The price is not very accessible but is justified by the careful work of winemaker Heinrich Mayer. Südtirol. L2011 the Lagrein grape variety
Good surprise !
