Les Mamettes are these grandmothers with tanned complexions and arched backs who tell us the story of this Catalan country. It is also these gnarled trunks of the Grenache Gris and Carignan Blanc vines which for decades produced VDN and Rancio Sec. These very old vines are now giving us their fruit to produce the new great dry white wines of Roussillon.
The nose is slightly iodized, fresh, spicy and mineral. The palate is lively on the attack, the fruit and spices are very present in the mouth with a nice roundness on the finish.A very beautiful rosé for all seasons!
This wine is oxidative in its aromatic palette: acacia, very ripe apple, spices and dried fruits such as hazelnut and walnut, all supported by fine, very noble bitters on the finish.Surprising and bewitching!
